GROVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

New Offerings

meetingGrove Consultants recognise that there are many different ways to learn and we have introduced a variety of learning styles during our courses and also more recently the various ways participants can take the courses. We also know that time and money are precious to our customers , so have introduced the following time and cost saving options in this economic climate; course prices have been frozen for another year for 2010, weekend courses available for in-house and public options providing minimal disruption to projects and the new correspondence course allows a cheaper alternative for those participants who prefer to learn at their own pace.

Option 1: Public courses

This option allows participants to meet people from other organisations, sharing experiences and seeing how concepts taught during the course can be applied to the very different industries and environments. Exercises and syndicate work during the public courses will allow in-depth discussions from the many varied companies that attend these courses. Our public courses are held at the prestigious Thistle Marble Arch 4-star hotel in the heart of London and our course prices are proving to be very competitive. Booking these courses can be made using the booking form on our website.

Option 2: In-House courses

This option provides companies with the flexibility to arrange courses at a convenient time to them and at their own premises. In-house courses often provides a cheaper alternative to sending many participants on our public courses from the same company. Expense costs are also kept to a minimum. In some instances, in-house courses can be tailored to suit your own needs and discussions, exercises and syndicate work will focus on how the concepts can be applied to your own company.

Option 3: Weekend courses

If it is difficult for your staff to find time to attend training during the weekdays, Grove have introduced the opportunity for companies to run courses over weekends at your offices, but at the same rate as our normal in-house courses. This option will be flexible for each company's requirements. This option might also be advantageous to contractors and consultants who do not want to give up weekdays for training. If the demand is high then we would consider running public courses also over weekends.

Option 4: Correspondence courses

If you wish to study for the ISTQB or ISEB exams, then Grove can offer you the opportunity to study for them at your own pace. By taking one or more of our courses through the correspondence route, you will be allocated one of the consultants from Grove as your personal mentor. You will work with your mentor to set a study plan to help get the most from the materials. That way you can decide how long you are able to commit to each section and which areas you feel you want to spend more time focusing on. It will also give you a target completion date to work towards. Then during your study time, your personal mentor will be available to help you in explaining any aspects you may need assistance with including exam techniques, whether by email or on the phone. The materials will be sent to you in electronic format over the study period agreed with your mentor. At the end of each section you will submit answers to sample questions, which will be marked and returned to you with any comments. If you get stuck on any particular area and need more help, then just ask. Once the course has been completed you can then sit a public exam organised by ISEB or ISTQB depending on the course studied. If you are doing the ISTQB/ISEB Foundation course, you will also have the opportunity to do the exam at an online Prometric centre.
The materials used for the correspondence course are based on those used during our instructor led accredited courses and have very comprehensive student notes to support the slides provided. However, the material has not been accredited specifically for use as a correspondence course. For further information please download the correspondence brochure.
